Darris Nichols (6’2” / West Virginia), who started 73 consecutive games at point guard and led WVU to the NCAA Sweet 16 this season, has signed a 1-year deal with Atomeromu SE in Hungary. West Virginia was 99-42 during Nichols’ career and Nichols holds the school record for career games played. He received the 2008 BIG EAST Sportsmanship Award and he averaged 10.7 points per game and led the team in assists with 119. Nichols also had just 42 turnovers in 1,282 minutes, an average of just over one turnover a game in 34.6 minutes per game this season and for his career, he had 399 assists and 135 turnovers in 3,528 minutes.
