2007-08: Akasvayu Vic (Spain-LEB Silver): 2006-07 (SENIOR): Finished the season 15th in the Big East Conference in rebounds... competed in the Mountain Dew Slam Dunk Competition... averaged 9.7 ppg, 6.9 rpg and shooting 58.6 % from the floor... led his team in rebounding 11 times this season... totaled 19 rebounds against Seton Hall (1/27/07) and 18 rebounds against Notre Dame (3/3/07)... led the team in scoring 6 times and averaged 13.2 ppg & 9.3 rpg the final nine games of the season... ranked 5th in the Big East Conference in field goal percentage (58.6%). 2005-06 (JUNIOR): Underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee on Feb. 2 and missed the rest of the season … appeared in 17 of the Scarlet Knights' 33 games last season, and was a valuable defender and rebounder as a member of the regular rotation … scored 10 points against Charlotte (12/22) and Seton Hall (1/7) and had a nine-point, five-rebound effort vs. Pittsburgh (1/18) … did not play at Cincinnati (1/22) and against Providence (1/25) with a sore left knee, but returned for RU's game against Louisville (1/28) … matched his career high with nine rebounds in 21 minutes of action against No. 9 Pittsburgh (1/18) ... forced to leave the game early against the Panthers with a knee injury … scored eight points on 3-of-6 shooting from the field with five rebounds in 26 minutes of action against No. 3 Villanova (1/11) … pulled down seven rebounds in 17 minutes of action against South Carolina State (12/17).
2004-05: Missed the entire season while recovering from an off-season knee injury. 2003-04 (SOPHOMORE): Matched his career high with a 13-point effort vs. Villanova ... had a productive nine-point, seven-rebound effort vs. WVU (3/22) ... had a tremendous 11-point, nine-rebound effort at Virginia Tech (3/3) ... had a fine 11-point, four-rebound outing in regular season win over WVU (2/25) ... was 4-of-5 from the field and 3-of-3 from the free throw line against the Mountaineers ... posted a career-high 13 points in 78-53 victory over Buffalo (11/25) ... tallied 12 points and grabbed a career-high nine rebounds vs. Georgetown (1/3) ... scored six points and grabbed six rebounds at No. 15 Wisconsin (11/29) ... registered three blocks vs. Penn State (12/10) ... added a career-high five blocks vs. Northwestern (12/27) with Herve Lamizana's eight blocks against the Wildcats, RU had a season-high 13 blocked shots in the game ... had a solid eight-point, eight-rebound game at No. 13 Pittsburgh (1/17), playing a career-high 35 minutes against the Panthers. 2002-03 (FRESHMAN): In last six games of the 2002-03 season, Hill averaged 6.2 ppg. and 4.2 rpg ... had nine points on 3-of-5 shooting from the field vs. Seton Hall (2/25) ... tallied eight points while grabbing seven rebounds vs. Connecticut (2/19) ... also posted four blocks and grabbed three rebounds vs. the Huskies ... had seven points and four rebounds vs. Pittsburgh (2/22) ... scored eight points against Fordham (12/11) on 4-of-5 shooting from the field ... had three points and three rebounds against Marshall (12/2) ... turned in an active six-minute stint in the win over Syracuse (1/29) with two points, two rebounds and two blocks ... saw action in 20 games. PERSONAL: Hill averaged 17.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, 4.0 blocks and shot 50 percent from the field his senior year while earning All-State (second-team) honors from the Associated Press. He was also a first-team All-League selection while leading the Bulldogs to a 17-9 record and an appearance in the Ohio High School State Athletic Association (OHSAA) Division I Tournament semifinals. He was a three-year starter for the tradition-rich McKinley High School program, which has produced many top players, including NBA point guard Eric Snow and former NBA player Gary Grant. Hill finished his career with 926 career points, which was 13th all-time in school history. He scored 29 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in a 67-59 district semifinal win over Massillon and tallied 18 points and blocked seven shots in a 62-55 regional semifinal triumph over Shaker Heights. In April, 2002, Hill competed on the Ohio team in the Rising Star Classic, an annual event in New Castle, Pa., that pits an All-Star team from Ohio against a team comprised of standouts from Pennsylvania.
