FIBA EuroChallenge regular season begins

FIBA Europe has announced the list of teams that will participate in the 2011-12 EuroChallenge.  The EuroChallenge Regular Season line-up will feature 32 clubs and Group play will begin this week.

WORLDWIDE will have four players competing in this year’s competition.  Louis Dale (180-G-88, college: Cornell) of BG Goettingen (Germany-1.Bundesliga) will compete in Group B against Besiktas (Turkey-TBL), Leiden (Holland), and Armia (Georgia-Superleague).  Anthony Hilliard (193-G-86, college: Elizabeth City) of Artland Dragons Quakenbrueck (Germany-1.Bundesliga) will compete in Group B against Szolnok (Hungary-A Division), Keravnos (Cyprus-Division A), and Pau-Lacq-Orthez (France-ProA).  Kyle Landry (206-F-86, college: N. Arizona) of Triumph Lyubertsy (Russia-PBL) and Stefon Jackson (196-G-85, college: UTEP) of Generali Okapi Aalstar (Belgium-D1) will play in Group F.  Group F also consists of Etha (Cyprus-Division A) and Olin Edirne (Turkey-TBL).
